Does Life Reflections Counseling accept Medicare?

Yes. Life Reflections Counseling welcomes Medicare clients and accepts Original Medicare. Coverage, deductibles, coinsurance, and other out-of-pocket costs depend on your individual benefits.

Can Medicare clients see a licensed professional counselor?

Yes. Medicare covers eligible outpatient mental health services provided by qualifying, Medicare-enrolled mental health counselors, including licensed professional counselors who meet Medicare’s requirements.

Do you accept Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage?

We accept Original Medicare and selected Medicare Advantage plans. Because provider networks and benefits differ among Medicare Advantage plans, please contact us so we can check your particular plan.

Is counseling available in person in The Woodlands?

Yes. We provide in-person counseling at 5 Grogans Park Drive, Suite 112, The Woodlands, Texas 77380.

Is telehealth available?

Yes. Telehealth counseling is available to clients located in Texas when clinically appropriate and permitted by their insurance plan. Coverage and cost-sharing requirements may vary.

Does Medicare cover EMDR therapy?

Medicare may cover a medically necessary psychotherapy session in which EMDR is used when the care is provided by an eligible, Medicare-enrolled clinician. EMDR is not billed as a separate Medicare benefit, and coverage is not guaranteed solely because this technique is used. We will help check your benefits before treatment begins.

How are benefits verified before the first appointment?

Before your first appointment, we request your Medicare or Medicare Advantage information and check your active coverage, plan requirements, provider-network status, deductible, and expected coinsurance or copayment. Benefit verification is an estimate and not a guarantee of payment; final coverage is determined by Medicare or your Medicare Advantage plan.
